At a different conference I would have tried to interact a bit more with more vendors and ask them about the different types of planter they like to use. I would also ask about more event that are coming up in the spring.

Comment about the event: Everyone I met at this event was very friendly and although it was not a gallery or artist reception I enjoy the friendships developed through the plant community. Through this event I got invited to another event that will take place in the spring.

At this event I was a vendor selling planters I met other ceramic artist and plant vendors that were vending as well.

I talked to Cole James a ceramic artist

Jeremy Mercado a plant grower who specializes in columnar cacti

Danny was another plant seller who I traded some pottery with

Website Critique

Vanna’s website was very easy to navigate and has features like showing the image of what the printmaking process looks like to give the viewer an idea of what the process the looks like. The honesty in the artist statement also gives context to the work that I feel gives it even more depth. The organization of the type of prints and image quality makes the prints stand out.

Jake Johnston

https://www.creepoinc.com/about

Jakes website has an easy to use layout along with the yellow background I feel goes with his art style it also brings the white background of the images out and presents them in a good manner. He has also a good amount of work that gives the website a clean look.

Fatima K. Mirza

https://fatimakmirza.com

Fatimas website has great image sizes along with descriptions of the designs my favorite is the image of the cave that has the day and night examples. The image of the forest is a bit distracting and I would suggest centering the images to be in the middle of the page. Lastly I would suggest to not put your phone number online unless one not directly connected to a personal phone.

Pearl Sripoirung

https://p-sripoirung.carrd.co

Pearl’s website present the work directly and shows great work for each of the sections. The only thing I would suggest would be to change the green color of the font and take the underlining off because it made it hard to read. My favorite part of the website was the character designs and being able to see large images of the characters.
